Precious Waste - Rome

Precious Waste is a mixed-media exhibition showcasing artistic jewels, photography and e-waste to guide visitors through the material transformation from abandoned objects to artistic creations.

Inaugurated in Tokyo at the Jinny Street Gallery in November 2023, the exhibition presents a retrospective

of the ByLUDO design collections in Rome for the first time. Alongside the artistic creations, viewers will see their original, unprocessed state.

Throughout his research, Ludo investigated ways to recycle and reimagine all keyboard components and other electronic waste. The design inspiration for the creation of ByLUDO’s artistic pieces comes from the study of the properties of materials and their playful reconfiguration into wearable pieces.

In Precious Waste, each collection will be presented as unused material, recomposed as an artistic jewel and as a photographic reinterpretation. Thanks to the progression of these three phases, the visitor who passes through the new Anthea Studio space will be able to visualize all the components and their

transformation, demonstrating the creative possibilities and artistic expressions of reuse.
